Parks and Recreation Department

WELCOME TO THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT

The Parks and Recreation Department and Administrative Office, better known as the Ericksen Community Center, is located on the northernmost part of 148 acres of Emma Young Park. We have three ASA certified softball fields, four tennis courts, a cross country running trail, a playground, and Clinton's only public pond.

The Parks and Recreation Department offers over 170 recreation programs designed for all ages from preschoolers through young adults, adults and seniors. Implementation of these programs is lead by Josh Eggers, Director of Clinton Parks and Recreation.

The Parks and Recreation Department maintains about 500 acres of park land, multiple miles of recreational trails, many playgrounds, a Recreational Vehicle Park and sports facilities, including a Minor League Professional Baseball Stadium.

The City of Clinton is fortunate to have such a rich history in Eagle Point Park, Riverview Park, Chancy Park, Lyons Four Square Park, Clinton and DeWitt Parks. Projects and improvements are guided by the Parks Master Plan, adopted by the Council in 2017.
