To Whom It May Concern:

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at 5:00 p.m. on March 11, 2025, at the Clinton City Hall, 611 South 3rd Street, Clinton, Iowa, before the Clinton City Council for the purpose of soliciting written and oral comments on the proposed Capital Improvement Program for FY2026.

Any interested person may appear in person or submit their comments in writing at said public hearing.  Also, any written comments may be submitted to:  City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 611 South 3rd Street, Clinton, Iowa.

Issuance of General Obligation Capital Loan Notes

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Clinton, State of Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the 11th day of March, 2025, at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 611 South Third Street, Clinton, Iowa, at which meeting the Council proposes to take additional action for the authorization of a Loan Agreement and the issuance of not to exceed $9,630,000 General Obligation Capital Loan Notes (Essential Corporate Purposes, ECP-1)

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Clinton, State of Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the 11th day of March, 2025, at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 611 South Third Street, Clinton, Iowa, at which meeting the Council proposes to take additional action for the authorization of a Loan Agreement and the issuance of not to exceed $920,000 General Obligation Capital Loan Notes (General Corporate Purposes, GCP-2).

Proposed Tax Rate

The City Council will conduct a public hearing on the Proposed Tax Rate for Fiscal Year July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 611 South 3rd Street, Clinton on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. 

At this Special Council meeting, the Proposed Tax Rate for Fiscal Year July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 will be the only item on the agenda. 

At the public hearing, the Council shall receive oral or written testimony from any resident or property owner of the City. After such comments, the Council may decrease (but not increase) the Proposed Tax Rate amount to be included in the City's budget.

The City Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 611 South 3rd Street, Clinton on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. 

At the public hearing, any resident or property owner may present objections to, or arguments in favor of, any part of the proposed budget.
